Economy and ergonomics with 360° dishwashing area planning

Planning for success
Organisation is the second priority in any kitchen, just after hygiene. And the bigger the kitchen, the more tasks, the more staff and the more appliances to manage. With many people working together on overlapping tasks, seamless workflows are a must. A well planned and optimally organised kitchen can bring a lot to the table: it can save you time and money, make the best use of your space, safeguard staff health, increase productivity and more.
MEIKO is all about clean solutions – and that means more than ‘just’ sparkling dishes and exceptional cleaning. MEIKO eRgOnomIcs – our smart and sustainable system for workflow planning and design in the dishwashing area – shows you what our warewashing technology can offer when it is optimally integrated into your kitchen processes.

Ergonomically organising dishwashing areas is a good investment

A workplace where everything just works better
If a workload is too high, the whole operation suffers. A high-performance machine is only part of the solution. The problem is not only capacity. Workflows and conditions are factors for analysis, too. In the food service sector, an ergonomically well-equipped workplace will not only be more efficient, but may also help improve employee satisfaction and health. A good solution will optimise workflows, as well as the positioning and timing of equipment that staff interact with.

Good for people and business
In 2015, around 22%* of all staff absences in the food service sector were due to muscular or skeletal complaints. MEIKO ergonomics concepts go a long way towards preventing this by bringing together technology and consulting to create a win-win situation for both people and business – because we understand that productivity and employee satisfaction go hand in hand. In short: good conditions make for good efficiency.

Less strain, better working conditions
It is clear that working in the dishwashing area can be a physical and mental challenge. Standing for long hours, tricky twisting manoeuvres and heavy lifting impact joints. And a hot, humid and hectic environment doesn't help. A good ergonomic design can put an end to all that, helping work to stay fun for longer and keeping staff healthy.

What is MEIKO eRgOnomIcs?
MEIKO eRgOnomIcs is the concept we use to plan your dishwashing area for economy and ergonomics.
- ‘Ergonomics’ refers to the science of designing and arranging the things people use at work so that they interact with them as comfortably and efficiently as possible. The goal of ergonomics in the workplace is to optimise people's working environments in order to improve their working conditions. People at work should not be put under too much physical strain, and they certainly should not come to any harm, even if they do the same job over a period of many years. In brief: work should be easier and gentler on the body. Working conditions should be adapted to suit the workers – not vice versa.
- ‘ROI’ stands for return on investment, a key figure in the business world. It shows how well an investment is performing in terms of generating a profit, making it a vital metric for understanding the impact of operational spending.
